You're a little late to get a car there. Online Checking with the Outer Banks Realty. They have a website and do a great job. We were there about 3 weeks. The prize will be looking around $ 2000 per week for a decent home, but go and see what you can find. Will you travel inland to the airport and get a rental car. It is verrrry pleasant and relaxing. Have fun.
